Experience : 7 to 10 years

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development with Django and Postgres, along with a working knowledge of frontend technologies. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development team, designing and implementing robust and scalable backend solutions, and ensuring the seamless integration of frontend and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership :

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Django.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity with Postgres.
• Implement and maintain APIs to support frontend and mobile applications.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the backend infrastructure.
• Write efficient and optimized database queries, ensuring minimal latency and high performance.
• Project Management :
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of features and bug fixes.
• Manage technical debt and prioritize refactoring efforts.

• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
• Provide support and guidance on frontend development when necessary, particularly with Native technologies.
• DevOps and Deployment :
• Oversee the deployment and monitoring of applications in a cloud environment.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on Django and Postgres.
• Proven experience in leading and managing development teams.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience with frontend technologies, particularly Native, is a plus.
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Expertise in writing optimised and efficient database queries.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable systems.

• Experience with cloud platforms - AWS
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
