Job Description:
The candidate will serve as a Lead Piping Stress Engineer, bringing substantial proficiency in piping design, managing works and clients within the Industrial domain business for Lektus. He shall be backed by a proficient team of engineers specializing in the piping domain, primarily stationed at the Lektus Infrastructure office in Pune. We require an experienced Senior Piping Engineer with a demonstrable history of spearheading design initiatives within the Industrial business domain.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.
• Should be able understand the process and analyse the systems for pressure surges that could result from various possible events and provide recommendations to mitigate the same.
• Conduct Technical Reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations for underground and above ground piping to ensure compliance to relevant industry standards and safe design practices.
• In-depth knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).
• Prepare Job execution plan and Work Instructions / Standard drawings, based on ITB requirements.
• Estimate the man-hours for projects / proposal and other horizontal/Vertical work share.
• Allocate specific jobs to Assigned Engineers and monitor their progress regularly.
• Interact with Client / PMC / Vendor to resolve key issues.
• Monitor and adhere all technical requirements and deliverables as per ITB / contract.
• Review vendor data and drawings as well as specifications, calculations and all other technical documents to ensure conformity to the ITB requirements.
• Initiate Value Engineering solutions and implement in consultation with other disciplines and get approval from client / PMC.
• Prepare Job execution plan and Work Instructions / Standard drawings, based on ITB requirements.
• Review vendor data and drawings as well as specifications, calculations and all other technical documents to ensure conformity to the ITB requirements.
• Initiate Value Engineering solutions and implement in consultation with other disciplines and get approval from client / PMC.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a certified course in Stress analysis.
• A minimum of 7+ years’ experience in pipe stress analysis using Caesar II software in the field of engineering and design is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex stress analysis results and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD software and related tools, with the ability to integrate Ceaser II into project-specific design workflows.
• Good knowledge of national, international, and local codes and standards.
• They should be adept at problem-solving and have a track record of implementing new technologies, techniques, or design methodologies to improve project system performance and efficiency.
• Implementation of quality procedures to ensure a good design deliverable.
• Comprehensive leadership skills and previous experience in managing large-scale projects.
• Candidate to show out-of-the box thinking in order to identify any opportunities for automation or innovation.
• In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, EN-13480-3, and API 579 for the design and analysis of piping systems.
• Good knowledge of MS office tools.
• Collaborative Skills with Clients, Stakeholders, Project Management and Design Teams.
• Good Spoken English and written English is essential.
• Experience is Middle Eastern and US projects are preferred.
• Should have a valid passport.
