Job Description
Designation: Associate Legal - Research
Experience (years): 5+ yrs
No: of vacancies: 3
Work timing: 9am to 6pm (10.30 p.m. - 7.30 a.m. EST)
Job Summary: Job profile: To work on a legal research and document review project for a UK-based client on US-specific matters.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare memorandums, including research and legal analytics.
- Research and prepare answers to legal questions under various topics in the US.
- Review of Legal Documents on the client platform.
- Interact and work with a team of US attorneys.
- Manage and lead the team of lawyers on the project, if requirement arises.
- Think innovative and improve processes.
Training : Training will be provided by both offshore and onshore attorneys. Training mainly focuses on refining research and writing skills, sharpening legal thinking, and use of legal research tools, including the client s platforms.

Roles:
- To ensure that all the information they handle is secure.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to follow all the information security policies, procedures, rules and regulations as stipulated in the manuals.
- Responsible to take immediate action to prevent any undesirable situations and report to the officers.
- Responsible to take part in their assigned role in the event of an emergency situation.
Authority
- To report any security incident or weaknesses, which comes to their knowledge.
Contract Staff
- Responsible to follow the rules and regulations and move within the area specified.
- Responsible to obey the instructions for all the officers and staff regarding the work and in emergency situations.
- Responsible to report any undesirable incidents.

Desired Qualifications:
- A law degree (L.L.B/L.L.M) from any reputed university.
- Minimum of 5 years or more litigation/transactional work experience.
- Strong proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in drafting legal documents.
- MS Office - Word, Excel.
- Research skills and experience in using online legal tools.

Personal qualities like great communication, creative thinking, and excellent written skills count for more than formal qualifications in this job.
