Designation : Manager - Legal

Role & responsibilities

1. Manage and oversee all legal aspects of our real estate operations, including court cases, legal drafting, and agreements drafting.
2. Represent the company in court proceedings, related to property disputes, contract disputes, and other legal matters and negotiations on behalf of the company.
3. Research on litigation subject matter including criminal and civil, prepare briefs for senior counsels and court filings apart from providing litigation support in courts.
4. Collaborate with external legal counsel and consultants as needed.
5. Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, leases, deeds, and other agreements.
6. Land title due diligence: Independently handle title diligence requirements for various purposes ranging from residential to commercial developments.
7. Prepare and present reports on legal activities, risks, and issues to senior management.
8. Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on real estate transactions and issues.
9. Ensure compliance with RERA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations governing the real estate industry.
10. Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations and provide training to relevant team members as necessary.
11. Handle any other legal matters related to the company's real estate operations as assigned.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Master's degree in Law (LLM). Additional qualifications in real estate law or related field are preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in a similar role or as an advocate/legal advisor in a law firm with real estate corporate setting with strong understanding of Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, RERA Regulations, SRA rules & regulations etc.
3. Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
4. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Extremely good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
