Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the global sanctions compliance program, including basic and enhanced sanctions screening processes.
- Review and resolve red flags identified during the screening process and maintain accurate records of all screening activities.
- Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for senior management.
Third-Party Risk Management:
- Coordinate the enterprise-wide third-party risk management solution, focusing on:
- Enhancing third-party risk screening and diligence policies and workflows.
- Integrating screening and diligence procedures into existing business processes.
- Implementing contractual controls for third parties, including suppliers, clients, sales consultants, contractors, and joint venture partners.
Ethics & Compliance Program Development:
- Partner with the Vice President of Global Ethics & Compliance to enhance the company's Ethics & Compliance program.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, HR) to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
Policy Development and Oversight:
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of Ethics & Compliance policies, including Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, Trade Sanctions, and Anti-Trust policies.
- Oversee policy communication and awareness efforts across the organization.
Risk Assessment and Data Analytics:
- Formalize and implement a compliance risk assessment program in partnership with Internal Audit.
- Utilize collected data to develop and refine policies, procedures, and systems at business unit and regional levels.
- Prepare materials leveraging data analytics to present to the Compliance and Audit Committees and senior leaders.
Project Management and Process Improvement:
- Support the improvement of self-service reporting tools and collaborate with business and IT teams to enhance capabilities.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging regulatory requirements and provide actionable insights.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Draft internal memoranda and summaries of research findings, presenting them to leadership.
- Maintain open communication lines internally and externally to effectively deliver compliance objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in legal, audit, or comparable compliance roles.
Knowledge Base:
- Proven experience conducting sanctions screenings and resolving related red flags.
Skills:
- Outstanding analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management capabilities and a self-starter mindset.
- Collaborative working style with a high attention to detail and organization.
- Expertise: Experience working with global, cross-functional teams and delivering effective communication to senior management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building or managing third-party risk management programs, including using external screening vendors.
- Expertise in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or bribery violations, including investigations and remediation.
Certifications such as CCEP or CFE are a plus
