Senior Developer - React & Next JS (Kolkata)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced React & Next JS Developer to join our dynamic offshore development team in managing a large-scale, USA-based product platform.

This individual will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using React & Next JS, leveraging their built-in features for performance and SEO optimization (e.g., Next SEO package).

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of frontend development, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.

This role demands collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architecture-level decisions to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development:

• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces using Next.js and React
• Leverage Next.js features such as server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and API routes to create performant web applications.
• Implement and optimize SEO-friendly pages using the Next SEO package and other Next.js SEO capabilities.
• Develop reusable components and libraries to streamline development processes.
• Optimize frontend performance for faster load times and better user experience.

Code Quality & Best Practices:

• Maintain high-quality coding standards, ensuring readability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Research & Development:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Next.js, React and web development technologies.
• Proactively propose improvements to the current tech stack, processes, and workflows.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Skills:

• 6+ years of professional experience in frontend or full-stack development.
• Proficient in Next.js, React and state management tools like Redux (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of Next.js SEO features and experience with tools like the Next SEO package.
• Hands-on experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/SASS, and responsive web design principles.
• Proficient with version control systems like Git and collaboration platforms like GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and services like S3, Lambda, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with TypeScript and strongly typed programming.
• Prior experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of modern build tools like Webpack, Babel, and Vite.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration into web applications is a plus.
