The General Manager - Legal will oversee all legal functions, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and providing strategic counsel to support business objectives. This role requires expertise in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on mitigating risks and enabling seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advisory & Compliance
• Handle strategic legal leadership and ensure 100% regulatory compliance.
2. Contract & Risk Management
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in business operations.
  
3. Dispute Resolution & Litigation
• Manage legal disputes, including arbitration and litigation, to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Handling disputes related to land acquisition
• Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, government authorities, and external legal advisors.
5. Leadership
• Lead and mentor the legal team to drive efficiency and excellence.

• Supervise the property acquisition team in the process of acquiring the land for the Project.
• Manage vetting of legal documents like MOUs, Investment Deeds, Sale Deeds, Agreement of Sale etc. relating to land identified for acquisition.
• Manage of MOUs, Term Sheets, Agreements, Commercial Contracts, Agreement to Sell, Conveyance Deeds, Notices, Security Documents and other transactions and structuring documents pertaining to land acquisition.
• To understand, review and comment / give suggestions on the title due diligence
• Handle statutory laws and land revenue laws
• Legal Research on various laws

Educational Qualifications & other requirements:

• Master of Laws (LLM) or bachelors degree in law (LLB) is preferred. E

Relevant and total years of Experience

• Minimum 5-10+ years relevant experience in Law Firm / in-house.
