About the Role:
Lead ESG strategy building and goals setting, keeping the corporate objectives in view. The role-holder will also look after the implementation of ESG-related activities and their inclusion in operations and business practices.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability and ESG strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and ob-jectives. Time frame of this strategy, Accepted by management, what stage of implementation, Economic of the strategy.
- Identify and manage environmental impact areas, such as carbon emissions, waste reduction, waste standardization, energy efficiency, ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge), resource consumption, and renewable energy integration. actual examples of implementing these (whichever) with the results would be good
- Support sites for developing and implementing environmental and sustainability project strategies aligned with goals, e.g., Carbon Neutrality, Water neutrality, Energy efficiency, Green Energy sourcing, and an Aspirational Net Zero journey. Coverage of sites (numbers) and can any quantification be done in these strategy deployments.
- Ensure profitable growth by reducing consumption of electricity and focusing on use of renewable energy to reduce waste generation. Again, size and numbers with benefit to the bottom like. This can be combined with the 2nd bullet above, as such activities will reduce carbon footprint, resource conservation etc.
- Attend meetings and report to management, shareholders and the Board of Directors on ESG progress and performance.
- Preparation of Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) and being involved in Stakeholder Management.
- Work with site team and Corporate Sustainability team and have collaboration with cross-functional teams to establish year on year sustainability targets, track progress, and report on key performance indicators at various plant sites.
- Conducting training programs to raise awareness about environmental and sustainability practices and foster a culture of responsibility across all sites and value chain. Would be good to know how many are done and what is the employee coverage from Board level to ground level cadre.
- Sharing the Best practices internally and externally to the site team to identify future opportunities and support the site's implementation.
- Support the sustainability team to prepare monthly MIS by collecting the data from respective site and analyzing the data to find opportunities for improvement.
