Facade Draughtsman

Roles and Responsivities

Drafting & Design:

• Develop detailed façade system drawings, including shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details using AutoCAD or relevant design software.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create precise façade designs.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, engineering calculations, and industry standards (BS, ASTM, or local codes).

Fabrication & Coordination:

• Generate fabrication drawings for aluminum, glass, ACP, and other façade materials.
• Coordinate with production and installation teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
• Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to verify material specifications and production feasibility.

Technical Support & Collaboration:

• Assist in value engineering by proposing efficient design alternatives.
• Collaborate with Structural Engineers, Project Managers, and Site Teams to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure proper revision control and document management of all drawings.

Compliance & Quality Control:

• Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Ensure designs are cost-effective, manufacturable, and installation friendly.

Reports:

• Maintain comprehensive records of all design, approvals, and revisions for future reference and audit purposes.
• Prepare and distribute detailed technical reports summarizing design findings, issues identified, and actions taken.
• Provide regular updates on the status of design and technical coordination activities to senior management
