Job Description
Preparation of welding procedure and other related documents
- knowledge of various welding processes (SMAW,SAW,GTAW,GMAW,FCAW,SASC,ESW etc)
- Awareness of various code and standard
- Good understanding of welding basics (preheat/interpass/DHT/ISR/PWHT/weld defect/distortion control/ welding consumable monitoring etc.
- knowledge of pressure vessel and heat exchanger fabrication
- knowledge of basic welding metallurgy of C-Mn, MnMoNi steel, stainless steel, nickel based alloys etc and various type of heat treatment
- perform root cause analysis for weld/base metal failure and suggest corrective actions accordingly
- developing & implementing new welding procedure, technique or technology
- shop surveillance for welding activities
- should have good verbal and written communication skill
