Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The qualified candidate will be responsible for selling the company's products and services via telephone and on-site visits to customers in Indian Subcontinent. This individual will be responsible for a mix of appropriate activities including prospecting, opportunity management, high transaction sales with a wide range of order size, and closing sales by using a strategic selling approach which include building a comprehensive territory plan to and executing specific strategies to maximize territory revenue.


As a Sales Engineer you will develop and further our existing relationships with some of the most prestigious organizations as well as develop new business.


Responsibilities

  • Attainment of annual sales goals for product sales and services.
  • Manage sales funnel from lead to close.
  • Prepare and implement sales account plans, including activity reports and forecasts.
  • Prospect within territory including existing customer base.
  • Identify key decision makers, determine customer needs, overcome objections and close sales.
  • Maintain comprehensive contact, lead and opportunity details on Lanika CRM database.
  • Prepare quotations for transactional add-on sales to existing customers.
  • Give product demos, presentations, and handle first line of product support.
  • Respond to inbound sales related inquiries.
  • 25-50% overnight travel required; daily/weekly travel.
  • Gain access to and influence the appropriate decision makers to manage any evaluation processes in order to pursue business opportunities through to a successful conclusion.
  • Work closely with potential customers at all levels to understand and leverage users requirements and management business issues.
  • Systematically follow up and prioritize all qualified leads provided by marketing or principals; energetically prospect for new business opportunities.
  • Leverage Lanika existing market presence and reputation; and make use of all relevant information sources and personal networks to proactively develop business.
  • Achievement of revenue targets; New Product Sales, Software Maintenance and Services, also include Training and Consulting of service business.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • +1 years of direct sales experience required.
  • Technical or engineering software and service selling experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience to balance volume and strategic sales.
  • Demonstrated success of managing business using CRM system.
  • Business level written and verbal English skills are required
