Laerdal - Senior DevOps Engineer - CI/CD Pipeline (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our progressive team.

You will collaborate on building and maintaining a cloud-native platform that emphasizes scalability, security, and reliability.

The role will focus on automation, GitOps practices, and adopting SRE principles to ensure system reliability and performance.

The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of internal platforms, supporting developer enablement, chaos engineering, and observability across both infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Advanced implementation of GitOps practices for automated, version-controlled deployments, infrastructure, and system management.

- Expertise in using ArgoCD or FluxCD for declarative continuous deployment in Kubernetes with robust GitOps workflows.

- Proficient in creating and managing complex CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automation and continuous integration.

- Strong understanding of DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Change Failure Rate, and MTTR) to optimize DevOps performance.

- Experience in using Cilium for advanced container networking and enforcing security policies across Kubernetes clusters.

- Proficient in implementing and managing Kubernetes Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for secure and fine-grained access management across clusters.

- Proficient in using Kustomize for managing complex, reusable, and customized Kubernetes configurations.

- Progressive Delivery / Canary Deployments using Prometheus : Experience in managing progressive delivery strategies like canary deployments, using Prometheus metrics for safer, gradual rollouts.

- Skilled in deploying and managing service meshes like Linkerd or Istio for traffic management, security, and observability in microservices.

- Event-driven pod autoscaling in Kubernetes : Expertise in implementing event-driven pod autoscaling using Kubernetes' Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) and KEDA for dynamic resource scaling.

Required Skills and Experience : 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure engineering roles, working in cloud-native environments.
