Deliver language instruction using proficiency-oriented methods and materials.
Teach all ILR skill levels, focusing primarily on speaking proficiency.
Provide instruction in a variety of settings, including classroom, online (synchronous and asynchronous), and iso-immersion environments.
Develop and implement syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials tailored to the students proficiency levels and specific mission requirements.
Integrate cultural context into language instruction, covering value systems, behavioral patterns, institutions, geography, and political, economic, and social systems of the areas where the target language is spoken.
Utilize diverse instructional technologies such as electronic flashcards, online applications, games, computer programs, voice and video recorders.
Engage students in higher-order thinking skills through task-based and project-based instruction.
Conduct both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and proficiency.
Maintain records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and program administrators.
Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree or higher.
Four or more years of experience teaching the Indonesian language to adult learners in an intensive proficiency-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Indonesian and English.
Experience with proficiency-oriented language instruction methods.
Familiarity with the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency scale.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
