We are seeking a Data Scientist with 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and AI product development. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will closely collaborate with the data science lead and stakeholders to create interactive data-driven solutions and models that align with business requirements and contribute to ION Analytics long-term automation and AI roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, evaluate, and deploy models using conventional ML and newer LLM techniques.
Work collaboratively with the data engineering team to produce required data assets that comply with the existing data lake governance.
Actively contribute to app product development, managed through development tickets on GitHub.
Translate complex findings and results into a compelling narrative for stakeholders.
Promote best practices and help setting up standardised, effective processes to improve the teams work.
Provide expertise on statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization to the team.
Actively build knowledge in a range of domains:
Commercial: Contracts and client relationships
Accounting: Financials of ION and External companies
Markets: M&A, LCM and ECM Deals
Content: Articles and Journalism
Product front end: Functionalities and platform offering
Product back end: Usage and other archived information
Stay updated with latest AI and Machine Learning developments and adapt to changes quickly.
Required skills, experiences, and qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
Proficiency in Python, SQL and experience with Machine Learning libraries. Pyspark knowledge and Databricks experience is a plus.
Experience with Azure app services is a plus.
Experience with version control using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Deep understanding of Machine Learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis techniques.
Experience of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and quality conscious.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive team player with the ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations.
