Job Description
Ensure availability of critical spare material for BTG area to minimize breakdown time and maximize availability of plant.
Prepare VED analysis of spare for optimization of budget.
Technical clearance of electrical equipment.
Prepare maintenance budget for BTG area
Ensure minimization of costs through continuous monitoring and analysis of maintenance practice.
Modification for system improvement and efficient operation.
Planning and execution of annual overhauling of Unit-1 & 2 electrical system within time frame to reduce costing.
Implementation of Safety culture among departmental employees
Identify safety observation and Implementation of Hazard & near miss reporting culture.
100% compliance of safety observations
Safety violation NIL
Ensure compliance of permit-to-work (PTW) system/ LOTO system to ensure zero accident.
Provide safety training for every employee/contractor employee by safety Department.
Inculcating habit of Safety Walk, TBT s and DSSR in daily routine.
100% availability of electrical system of BTG area.
Adhere to Department objective for 100% PM activities in BTG area.
To carry out Preventive maintenance/ Overhaul as per Maintenance guideline of OEM.
100% condition monitoring of BTG area Electrical equipment on schedule frequency.
To attend Breakdown in minimum possible of time.
Testing of transformers / Relays / Breaker / switchgear / motor for ensuring healthiness of equipment s.
Tripping of unit due to electrical fault--NIL
To prepare standard maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and checklist as per IMS guideline.
Maintain minimum lux level of illumination system in BTG Area.
Maintain AC system of AVR, UPS and other installation in BTG area.
To conduct maintenance of typical system like DG set, Elevators, UPS through AMC contract.
Attend daily meetings with HOD and colleagues to plan day s work and discuss any other issues.
Analysis of system to reduce auxiliary power requirement and inculcating habit of energy conservation within office and workplace.
Normalize /Restoration of plant after tripping/black out.
Prepare Trip report.
To prepare root cause analysis of any equipment failures or tripping and take action to prevent re-occurrence of similar event.
To perform continuous reviews of electrical systems and provide modification to improve quality/safety/environmental / energy efficiency of system as per IMS.
Co-ordination & Interaction with other departments
Provide an encouraging workplace climate.
Assist in developing, defining, and ensuring compliance to power plant policies and SOPs.
