Supervisor - Generator Testing & HSB

The candidate should have fair knowledge to conduct static / dy. tests on large & medium size steam turbine generator (Viz. Routine, Type & Special tests) & its components e.g., stator, rotor, stator coils, exc., PMG etc.

He should have knowledge of operating auxiliaries, their maintenance/troubleshooting for generator testing (up to 1000 MW) Viz., single / double flow seal oil system, stator coil cooling water sys, lube oil sys, JOP Sys, H2 & CO2 handling.

He should also have fair knowledge of Low / High speed balancing of turbine, generator rotors besides having the experience/skill to supervise assembly of rotors in HSB-Tunnel & associated activities like i) TOP/Side clearance of bearing & rotor journal ii) perform alignment of rotor with the drive motor shaft iii) Trouble shoot issues pertaining assembly process. Additional Vibration Category 2 certification preferred

He should be able to study P&ID, electrical drawings for maintenance & operation parameters

He should have knowledge of IEC/ISO & pertinent international standards pertaining elect. tests on generator & HSB of turbine / generator rotors

He should be able to handle unionized workmen in shift, ready to work in shifts

He should be able to handle customer at site for overhauling activities like in-situ balancing, electrical tests on generator stator & rotor, calibration of instruments & operation/maintenance of auxiliaries, ready to travel at different sites

He should have knowledge of basic instrumentations/transducers e.g., pressure transmitter, pressure gauge, RTD, thermocouple etc.

He should be able to operate electrical testing kits e.g., Insulation tester, HV Test Set-up, Micro-Ohm meter, PD kit, Tan-delta kit, Function generator, Single-phase Varaic .to name a few.

Finally, he should be well conversant with the prevailing industrial safety rules/standards & imbibe zero tolerance policy towards any violation
