Job Description

Job Overview:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant and Administrative Officer to join our team at a leading construction company. The ideal candidate will manage both accounting and administrative duties, ensuring smooth financial operations and efficient office management. The role involves working closely with project teams, vendors, and management to ensure compliance with financial regulations and the companys operational policies.


Key Responsibilities:


Accounting Duties:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, payments, and financial entries.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in Tally and ERP systems.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports using Excel, including cost analysis, project budgets, and cash flow.
  • Handle GST compliance.
  • Process payroll, track expenses, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audits, and tax documentation.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage general office administration, including record-keeping, filing, and handling communication with vendors and contractors.
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized project documentation, contracts, and other key records.
  • Coordinate office supplies, equipment maintenance, and other administrative support functions.
  • Support project teams with administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Any Bachelors degree. A Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field will be preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting and administration, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
  • Strong understanding of GST regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with integrity and discretion.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction industry or with project-based accounting.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, taxation, and other compliance regulations relevant to the construction sector.
