Job Description

Job Profile: State Sales Manager: Tamil Nadu (Building Materials)

The State Sales Manager for Tamil Nadu will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a large team, and developing a robust dealer network across the state. This role requires a candidate under 35 years of age with a minimum of 7 years of experience managing state-level sales in the building materials or related industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a turnover of ₹10-30 crore and possess strong skills in dealer network expansion and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities (KRA):

  1. Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets for Tamil Nadu, focusing on market penetration and revenue growth.
  2. Dealer Network Development: Identify, onboard, and strengthen the dealer network across Tamil Nadu to enhance market presence and ensure wide product availability.
  3. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and motivate a large state-level sales team, setting performance goals, providing training, and ensuring high productivity and morale.
  4. Market Expansion & Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and identify opportunities to expand into new regions or product categories within the state.
  5. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key dealers, distributors, and large accounts to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  6. Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management, ensuring accurate insights into market performance and opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed state sales targets, with specific growth targets for new and existing product lines.
  • Dealer Network Expansion: Increase the number of active dealers and maintain strong relationships with key partners, achieving dealer acquisition and retention targets.
  • Team Performance: Meet or exceed team performance goals, including individual and team sales targets.
  • Market Share: Increase the market share within the state by expanding the company's presence across strategic territories.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Improve customer satisfaction ratings and dealer engagement, ensuring a high level of support and service for key clients.
  • Sales Forecast Accuracy: Maintain accuracy in sales forecasting, ensuring effective inventory and resource planning.

The State Sales Manager will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth in Tamil Nadu by leading a high-performing team, expanding the dealer network, and achieving revenue goals. This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-oriented sales leader with a strategic mindset and a proven track record in state-level sales management.
