Boiler Operation Engineer

Key Responsibilities: -

• Operate and Monitor Boiler, TPH & all respective utilities Start-up, stoppage, and monitor all operational issues & trouble shoot to ensure proper & efficient functioning.
• To control & keep motivated all manpower supplied for Boiler & respective utilities area for smooth & trouble-free operation at desired level of steam pressure & volume.
• The incumbent will be responsible to deal with local & State level Boiler authorities for annual inspection & do all necessary activities to obtain Renewal Certification of boiler IBR piping.
• The incumbent will be responsible for optimum utilisation of coal & all other inputs to keep control of steam cost.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
• Perform regular safety inspections and tests on boilers
• Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot operational issues
• Take corrective actions to address problems and minimize downtime
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts
• Schedule and perform regular inspections to identify potential issues
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Prepare reports as required by regulatory authorities
• Communication: Coordinate with other departments & HODs including boiler house employees and maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operation.
• Report any abnormalities or incidents to supervisors
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations and follow established protocols
• Implement emergency shutdown procedures when necessary
