Manager - Legal Counsel

Role & responsibilities

The role of the Manager Legal Affairs and Legal Counsel is pivotal in driving the Company Corporate, Industrial, Civil matters and Governance of Power Systems division within India mainly functional areas viz.

• Contract Management & Administration (preparation, drafting, review and negotiation) of all types of commercial, non-commercial contracts, service level agreements, NDAs, business agreements MPA/BPA/MSA/LOI and various deeds relating to the multiple business units.
• Drafting notices, replies, complaints, plaints, written statements, affidavits, civil, criminal, OEM customer complaints, regulatory, Government bodies and administration authorities.
• Internal Due diligence, and periodical Compliance reviews pertaining to labour, factory laws, Indian contract Act, IPR Laws, commercial laws, corporate laws, civil, other business laws, Automotive vehicle recall policy, MV Act, arbitration and conciliation process etc.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience and understanding in analyzing and handling complex legal matters and representing in various courts and legal forums,
• Good in commercial and corporate laws knowledge with hands on experience in working with driving diverse cross functional teams in matrix organization.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively represent the company and negotiate settlements.
• Good knowledge of word, excel, power point, etc. and native Marathi language (mandatory).
