Shift Manager

Roles & Responsibilities :

Execution of everyday planned movements as provided by the transport team

Managing the entire shift team right from Security, Transportation, Yard, Gate operation and coordination with Warehouse operation, Drivers etc. in order to accomplish the desired planned movements

Informing the customers about work completed

Monitoring if the custom clearance happens and all procedure is followed

Monitoring the Verification of documents at the gate and ensuring everything is as per set process

Getting the movement of container done inside the yard

Achieving daily results of targeted number of export and import containers

Liasoning with drivers and convincing them to take a particular route

Vendor Management like Kalmar vendor, Transport vendors, utility van vendor

Coordinating with Transport Planner and giving them information about actual out and in vehicles

Finding solutions to day to day challenges and making right decisions to ensure the plans are executed

Managing relations with Police and local people to ensure sound operations

Timely Weighing of containers and sending report to customers in time

Managing overall safety in the shift including shoes safety, jackets etc

Managing client emergency and allocating request to right person

Performing periodic checks on the teams work and keeping a record

Reporting to the head ICD for any irregularities or requirements

Giving attention that there is no Debit because of Shift operations

Coordination with CRC, Warehouse, Planners, JNPT team as required

Maintaining handover register and everyday providing information in handover register about incomplete tasks or handover tasks before leaving
