Software Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Study, acquire and recognize context of all product-related sources, e.g. technical information booklet & other reference documents etc., related to pumps, valves, accessories etc. which are to be newly implemented or need to be updated in the pump selection software.
2. Communicate with appropriate departments viz. Design, Product Management, Variant Management and Sales to get clarity about details of selection and software configuration.
3. Coordinate between Software development and Product Data management team for in time provision of qualitative data in case of new product implementation, expansion and maintenance of product in KSB configurator and other sales tools.
4. Product support to product manager in context to software implementation, product data management, design and related departments.
5. Analyze, Design and Implement Database Structures as per software requirement and digitalize data preparation process.
6. Interact with internal customers with respect to entrusted projects and tasks.
7. Extend KSBs selection software to accommodate additional pump series, preparation of product configuration related data tables and uploading data in MS-SQL.
8. Maintenance of already implemented products in pump selection software.
9. Test the new Configuration and report errors to respective department, if any.
10. Track development progress, manage expectations, and meet scheduled deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have industrial experience of 34 years assuming education requirements are met.
• Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming language (C++, C#, Camos.Develop)
• Working knowledge of MS SQL.
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures would be added advantages
• Interest and knowledge of data management and modelling.
• Flair for data preparation, data analysis and product data upkeep.
• Good knowledge of pump construction and basics.
• Knowledge of software design to include objected oriented design.
• Possess understanding of software design methodology.
• Project management experience using JIRA System or Agile methodologies.
• Confident handling of MS-Office applications
• Ability of working with cross functional teams, Customer centric approach
• Good team player with interactive approach.
