Job Description
We are looking for a Director, Transaction Advisory Services. As a Director, you will lead and manage the 40+ TAS GBS team in India that supports global engagements. You will focus on improving integration and visibility; training, mentoring and recruitment activities; driving the team to deliver high quality engagements, while also leading teams on financial due diligence engagements. On due diligence engagements, you ll be focusing on analyzing financial and operational results of companies. Our team works to understand the clients business profit drivers and trends, as well as challenge assumptions of future performance and assist with purchase agreements and post-closing transaction matters.
Responsibilities:
The candidate should be able to provide support on various aspects of execution, project and team management including the below activities:
- Liaise effectively with global colleagues and stakeholders (MDs/Directors/VPs) from the US and European offices and be a go-to person for engagements and team related matters.
- Build a deeper mutual understanding and strong relationships through exceptional service including a deep understanding of the internal and end-clients and their needs & work processes, exceptional responsiveness, and the delivery of the highest quality service and work product.
- Improve collaboration and integration of the TAS India FDD team with global offices, while adding capabilities in India to cater to other sub-service lines within TAS.
- Share key takeaways / updates and maintain seamless communication with the global and local leadership teams
- Bringing in operational efficiencies and margin enhancement through improved utilization, removal of redundancies, and identifying and addressing performance issues promptly.
- Assist in growing the team and take active part in the recruitment process including screening of CVs, conducting interviews, liasioning with HR team and finalization in coordination with senior management.
- Mentoring and talent development by identifying training needs (technical and soft skills) by level, encouraging cross-functional interactions and sharing of best practices, while instilling a sense of accountability and ownership.
- Delivering a high-quality work product on engagements, while demonstrating a deep technical knowledge of financial due diligence services
- Developing and implementing fundamentally sound and technically rigorous procedures and processes for executing unique engagements and developing new products/services
Requirements:
- Graduate and Chartered Accountant with significant public accounting experience or an MBA from an accredited college/university and with relevant work experience
- Minimum of 12-15 years of related execution experience in due diligence services
- Demonstrated leadership experience including managing and developing team and relationships with the internal clients
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to develop long lasting relationships
- Proven technical skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior management and in front of an audience
