Job Summary:

K.R. Mangalam School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Training Instructor to join our Physical Education Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive physical training programs to students of various age groups. The role requires someone who is committed to fostering physical fitness, well-being, and teamwork in students while promoting the values of discipline, health, and overall personal development. The instructor will work closely with school staff, parents, and students to ensure a positive and enriching physical education experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical Fitness & Skill Developmentsons:
  Create age-appropriate, engaging physical education lessons that encourage physical activity, fitness, and wellness.
  Ensure lessons are aligned with the K.R. Mangalam School curriculum and educational standards.
• Physical Fitness & Skill Development:
  Teach a variety of physical activities, including sports, fitness routines, athletic skills, and cooperative games.
  Focus on improving student strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and teamwork.
  Implement programs that cater to the varying skill levels of students, from beginner to advanced.
• Promote Healthy Lifestyles:
  Encourage students to develop lifelong healthy habits by educating them about nutrition, exercise, and wellness.
  Integrate discussions on mental well-being, stress management, and the importance of a balanced lifestyle.
• Ensure Safety in Activities:
  Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students during physical activities.
  Conduct regular checks on equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe to use.
  Respond to injuries or emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
• Track Student Progress:
  Regularly assess students' physical abilities and provide constructive feedback.
  Document and report students' development in terms of fitness, skills, and overall health.
  Organize assessments and tests to evaluate student progress in physical education.
• Classroom and Behaviour Management:
  Establish clear rules and expectations for students, promoting discipline and respect during classes.
  Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage participation, teamwork, and effort.
  Address any behavioural issues promptly and fairly.
• Extracurricular Activities:
  Organize and oversee after-school sports programs, fitness clubs, or inter-school competitions.
  Provide coaching for school sports teams and assist with the organization of sports events.
  Promote school participation in inter-school competitions and athletic meets.
• Collaboration with School Community:
  Work closely with other educators, administrators, and parents to support the overall development of students.
  Communicate regularly with parents about students' progress and well-being.
  Participate in staff meetings and school events as required.
• Professional Development:
  Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in physical education and fitness.
  Attend relevant workshops, conferences, or training sessions to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  A bachelors degree in physical education, Sports Science, Exercise Science, or a related field.
  A valid teaching certification in Physical Education (or the ability to obtain one) is required.

• Experience:
  Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching physical education or coaching sports in a school or educational setting.
  Experience in working with students across various age groups (from primary to secondary school) is preferred.
• Skills:
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  Strong organizational and planning skills to manage classes, events, and extracurricular activities.
  Proficiency in using modern teaching tools, including digital platforms for fitness tracking or virtual training (if applicable).
• Certifications:
  Valid certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
  Additional certifications in sports coaching or fitness training will be an asset.

  Passionate about physical education and youth development.
  Energetic, approachable, and enthusiastic about teaching and working with children.
  Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the schools educational programs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to engage in physical activity, demonstrate exercises, and actively participate in sports with students.
• Ability to assist in setting up and moving equipment as necessary.
