Branch Portfolio Manager - LAP/ HL Product

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Collection Manager for managing the collection of Loan Against Property (LAP) and Home Loan portfolios within the branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire collections process, ensuring optimal collection efficiency, maintaining a healthy portfolio, and achieving recovery targets. The Branch Collection Manager will also be responsible for leading a team of collections officers, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collection Strategy & Execution:
   
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies for LAP and Home Loan portfolios.
• Monitor delinquency levels and identify strategies to reduce outstanding balances and defaults.
• Ensure collection targets are met consistently, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Analyze overdue accounts and implement corrective actions, including follow-ups, escalations, and legal recovery processes.
2. Team Management & Leadership:
   
• Lead, guide, and manage a team of collection agents to ensure they meet their targets.
• Provide training and development to the team to enhance collection skills and performance.
• Set individual performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
• Motivate the team and foster a results-driven environment.
3. Customer Engagement & Resolution:
   
• Maintain effective customer communication, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts through calls, emails, and physical visits if necessary.
• Address customer complaints and concerns regarding collections in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
• Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and restructuring offers with customers, ensuring alignment with company policies.
4. Portfolio Management:
   
• Monitor and analyze the branchs LAP and Home Loan portfolio, identifying high-risk accounts.
• Maintain a proper documentation and record of all collections activities for compliance and audit purposes.
• Ensure the proper categorization of accounts into various aging buckets and track progress.
• Collaborate with the credit and legal teams for timely resolution of complex cases.
5. Reporting & Analytics:
   
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on collections progress and performance metrics.
• Present data on recovery performance, aged accounts, and collections challenges to senior management.
• Use data insights to refine strategies and improve collection processes.
6. Compliance & Risk Management:
   
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and legal requirements related to collections.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks in collections processes, maintaining adherence to ethical standards.
• Ensure that all actions taken are in line with consumer protection regulations and bank policies.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination:
   
• Work closely with the sales, credit, and legal teams to ensure seamless coordination and resolution of collection issues.
• Provide insights and feedback to the product and marketing teams for any necessary process improvements.
