Expert Regulations Management

Purpose of the Position (Short Summary of the Role):

1. To act as a SPOC for End of Life vehicle related Regulatory activities and represent SAVWIPL in different technical regulatory forums in Govt. Ministry, SIAM, ARAI, iCAT etc…
2. Ensure compliance for SAVWIPL products for ELV, recycling and material conformity requirements and prepare / track the domestic forecast, technical regulatory roadmap
3. Perform Impact analysis and timely communication of regulatory information to all stakeholders at respective brands at headquarter with respect to domestic markets to avoid any potential compliance issues
4. To handle audits / queries from the Govt agencies related to ELV and Material conformity requirements

Authority:

1. Take appropriate actions with internal CFT, headquarters and external agencies (like test authorities, suppliers etc.) to monitor the Regulatory requirements and ensure compliance for SAVWIPL products
2. Formulate SAVWIPL position in consultation with headquarter and represent strongly in all forums working on ELV related Technical Regulations in India (like Ministry, SIAM, ARAI, etc.)
3. Ensure data management and system releases in TIVON, IMDS, TI-REX, etc.
4. Responsible to maintain and submission of technical data of SAVWIPL products to authority to ensure compliance

Skills Required:

1. Technical knowledge of vehicle and vehicle aggregates & its functioning
2. Knowledge & Hands on experience towards vehicle testing, component testing, certification, regulations
3. Knowledge of functioning of International regulations and working forums like UN ECE, WP.29, GTR etc. involved in Automotive Regulation formulation and harmonization
4. Expertise with national & international regulations IMDS system, REACH, AIS, Material conformity, different chemical used in automobile and its regulations formulation
5. Self-starting, Self & Time management ,self-motivation, working with little guidance with good analytical skills

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

1. Regularly attend and represent SAVWIPL in various technical regulatory committees on Recycling, Material conformity and End of Life vehicles automotive regulations (Ministry, SIAM, AISC, CMVR-TSC, panel meetings etc.)
2. In-depth study of ELV & material conformity regulations under formulations, tracking of international regulations/forums (REACH), analyze impacts on current and future SAVWIPL models and regular communication to all stake holders in India.
3. Responsible to maintain, monitor and generate report from internal system/ IMDS/TI-REX/TIVON, coordinate with other development and purchase department and ensure compliance of ELV for SAVWIPL models
4. Study and prepare comparison between AIS,ECE/EEC and other international regulations applicable for End of life vehicles
5. Prepare justifications and interpretations of standards and discuss with technical experts colleagues and brand headquarter colleagues
6. Monitor development of responsible cluster regulations and dissemination same to all responsible departments from time to time
7. Develop necessary contacts with SIAM, SIAM Members, Technical Service, European counterparts for regular exchange of regulatory information
8. Prepares regular reporting to superiors. Adhere to departmental process and guidelines. Upkeep of all documentation, report & certificates in soft form and in physical form
