Senior Devops Engineer

Description:

As a DevOps Engineer at Koantek, you will spearhead our DevOps initiatives, ensuring the

seamless integration, deployment, and operation of our data platforms and services. This role

demands a comprehensive understanding of cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deep

expertise in Databricks. Your leadership will be instrumental in designing and implementing

scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure, while also fostering collaboration across

development, data engineering, and IT teams.

The impact you will have:

Infrastructure Management:

○ Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud

infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

○ Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Databricks environments,

ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

○ Develop and implement DevOps strategies and best practices to streamline

development and deployment processes.

CI/CD Pipeline Development:

○ Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of

applications and services.

○ Integrate Databricks into CI/CD workflows, ensuring smooth and efficient data

operations.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

○ Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and

resolve issues.

○ Perform root cause analysis of production errors and implement corrective

actions.

Collaboration & Communication:

○ Work closely with development, data engineering, and IT teams to ensure

seamless integration and deployment processes.

○ Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and

provide updates on project status and issues.

What we look for:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information

Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

○ 5+ years in DevOps or a related field.

Technical Skills:

○ Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

○ Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or

CloudFormation.

○ Deep understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure

DevOps.

○ Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).

○ Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Databricks Specific Skills:

○ Hands-on experience with Databricks administration and operations.

○ Familiarity with Databricks notebooks, clusters, jobs, and data pipelines.

○ Experience integrating Databricks with other data tools and platforms.
