Job Description
WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. A strong understanding of industry trends. Good understanding of web development process, including design, development, and deployment.
Qualifications: - Hands on Minimum 1-2 years of experience with WordPress Website Development.
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and web applications.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, JavaScript.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git minimum 1-2 years experience of PHP programming, MySQL, Ajax, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice and standard plugins.
- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level.
- Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions.
- Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with WordPress coding standards.
- Creation of logical, well documented and reusable code.
- Build websites, prototypes and applications using the latest front-end technologies.
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Ensuring all work adheres to current industry best practices.
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Providing timely resolution to reported problems with existing websites.
- Working closely with both the design and project resources to achieve the best possible results in web projects from conception right through to delivery.
- Establishing and guiding the websites architecture.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with all levels and departments on a formal, informal, written and verbal basis.
- Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multi-site) beneficial.
- Good understanding of cross platform and cross browser issues.
