Key Responsibilities:
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee the preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
Management and Supervision:
Supervise, train, and develop the accounting team.
Review and approve accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports.
Provide guidance to the team on best accounting practices and procedures.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Ensure all financial transactions comply with accounting regulations and policies.
Monitor and maintain internal control systems to safeguard financial data.
Prepare for and support external audits and inspections.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Collaborate with management to align financial goals with business strategies.
Taxation:
Oversee tax filings, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and deadlines.
Assist with tax planning and optimize tax liabilities.
Process Improvement:
Evaluate and suggest improvements to existing accounting procedures and systems.
Implement automation tools to enhance financial processes and reporting.
Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
Provide financial advice and reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA (preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and tax regulations.
Skills:
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
