Key Responsibilities :

1. Requirement Gathering and Documentation :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for the Data Lake.

- Translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.

- Prepare product roadmap.

2. Data Analysis and Validation :

- Analyze data structures, business rules, and discrepancies in source systems like SAP S/4 HANA.

- Conduct data profiling and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency during pipeline development.

3. Process Design and Optimization :

- Map current business processes and design optimized workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.

- Identify and define data quality rules, metadata requirements, and lineage tracking mechanisms.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Act as a liaison between client business domains, architects, and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

- Facilitate communication to resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and ensure successful sprint outcomes.

5. Project Support :

- Support the creation and prioritization of the product backlog for sprint planning.

- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies related to data sources and business processes.

- Provide input on user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate deliverables against business needs.

Key Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data-centric projects, preferably in Data Lake or Cloud-based solutions.

- Strong hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.

- Strong understanding of SAP S/4 HANA data structures and integration points will be an added advantage.

- Strong proficiency in creating epics, user stories, process flows, and documentation using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

- Knowledge of agile methodologies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, preparing roadmaps, etc.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), data processing frameworks (e.g., Dataform, Dataflow) and data governance tools (e.g., Dataplex)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and lineage tracking tools.

- Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.
