Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Klene Paks Limited is looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems, with expertise in maintenance and troubleshooting. This position will involve maintaining and optimizing mechanical equipment across all units, ensuring smooth operations and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including gearboxes, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, and air compressors.

- Conduct both preventive and breakdown maintenance for mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, and diesel generators (DG).

- Perform mechanical design tasks for system upgrades and improvements.

- Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for critical mechanical systems.

- Perform routine inspections and assessments to detect potential mechanical failures and initiate corrective actions.

- Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimize system performance and efficiency.

- Travel to various units (approximately 60% of the time) to provide on-site support for mechanical systems and maintenance activities.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.

- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new mechanical equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE).

- 5-8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial environment.

- Expertise in gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and air compressors.

- Experience with chiller and cooling tower maintenance.

- In-depth knowledge of diesel generator (DG) maintenance.

- Ability to design and implement mechanical systems and upgrades.

- Strong experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance.

- Familiarity with forklifts and material handling equipment.

- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Willingness to travel 60% of the time to provide support across different units.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in cooling system optimization and energy efficiency techniques.

- Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design tasks.

- Knowledge of mechanical system standards and compliance regulations.

- Basic electrical knowledge to work with integrated systems.
