Position Summary:
The Research Associate will play a critical role in supporting our investment team by conducting thorough research and analysis on potential investments, industry trends, and competitive landscapes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, experience in financial analysis, and a deep understanding of private equity investment fundamentals. This role is ideal for someone passionate about private equity and eager to develop their career in investment research and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct in-depth research and financial analysis on potential investment targets, industry sectors, and emerging trends
- Gather and interpret financial, operational, and market data to support investment decisions
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and investment memos for senior management and investment committees
- Assist in due diligence processes, including analyzing financial statements, company performance metrics, and key business drivers
- Track and evaluate industry trends, economic indicators, and competitive developments relevant to the firm's investment portfolio
- Support deal execution and portfolio management, including valuation modeling and performance analysis
- Maintain and update research databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance of information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; CA, CFA, CAIA, or progress towards relevant certifications is a plus
- 1-3 years of experience in financial research, investment banking, consulting, or private equity
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with a thorough understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information effectively to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel;
- High level of attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic
