IT Director - Application Development

Looking for an experienced IT Director Software Development to lead our system development teams at our global captive centre in Hyderabad. This role will interact closely with teams in the USA and Singapore to deliver system development and enhancements for a global logistics and freight-forwarding company. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in delivering development projects, managing multiple teams, and excellent communication skills.

Role & responsibilities:

• Lead and manage offshore teams to deliver high-quality software development and enhancements aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the USA and Singapore to gather requirements, set priorities, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Oversee multiple development projects, ensuring adherence to quality, timelines, and budgets.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to offshore teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
• Drive system improvements, process automation, and technical solutions for logistics and freight forwarding operations.
• Ensure seamless integration and communication between global teams to address business needs effectively.
• Manage project risks, resolve conflicts, and deliver solutions to meet organizational goals.

Skill Set Required:

• Strong expertise in software development and delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

• 18+ years of IT experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale development projects across multiple teams.
• Experience in the logistics or freight-forwarding industry is highly desirable.

Preferred:

Experience with technologies such as Java, EDI, SAP, or logistics-specific systems.

Education :

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
