Purpose: To prepare project estimates, plan resource allocation processes, conduct quantity surveying, develop BOQs, perform rate analysis, and implement cost control measures effectively.
Role & responsibilities : Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overheads. Develop project budgets and ensure alignment with client requirements and company objectives. Conduct feasibility studies to determine the cost-effectiveness of proposed projects.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze construction costs and provide reports to support project decision-making. Monitor project expenses to ensure they remain within the approved budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project scope.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather necessary project details. Communicate budget and cost-related updates to stakeholders. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and equipment.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure estimates comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all budget and estimation activities. Stay updated on market trends, construction methods, and material costs.
