Structural Engineer

KIELY Engineering is looking for a skilled Structural Engineer with 4-12 years of diverse experience to support our rapidly growing design team. This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, with the potential to take on greater responsibilities quickly.

Role & responsibilities

• Analysis & detailed design of concrete, steel & wood Structures for Industrial and commercial projects.
• Perform structural calculations and drafting for power, process, petrochemical, and other industrial-type facilities.
• Use of Finite Element Analysis software (STAAD Pro), SPMats, Hilti Profis, RAM Connection, and Excel for calculations.
• Preparation and checking of the detailed structural calculations/reports and detailed checking of the drawings in line with the project quality procedures.
• Checking of structural/reinforcement/detailed shop drawings.
• Communicate/coordinate within the team and with the lead office to ensure project needs are being addressed on time.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or masters degree in civil or structural engineering, plus a minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
• Must have working experience in structural design of industrial and commercial projects preferably US codes and design standards (ASCE, ACI, IBC, AISC and related codes)
• Proficiency in the use of STAAD Pro, RAM Connection, Hilti Profis, Spmats, AUTOCAD, and Microsoft Office).
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in making technical decisions.
• Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills.
