Description of the Job profile:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Associate/Senior Associate to join our Investment Banking team.
- The successful candidate will support deal teams in executing a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Growth capital raises, and other strategic advisory engagements.
- This position requires strong financial modeling skills, transaction management expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Execution: Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of M&A and Growth capital raising and support in drafting of client materials including teasers, investment memoranda, and pitch decks.
- Documentation & Due Diligence: Manage documentation, data rooms, and due diligence processes; assist with coordination between client, legal, and accounting teams.
- Financial Analysis & Valuation: Develop and maintain complex financial models, conduct\ valuation analyses using various methodologies (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis), and assess financial statements.
- Client Management: Prepare presentations, proposals, and pitch materials for clients, and engage with clients under the guidance of senior team members.
- Communication & Reporting: Draft reports and updates on deal status for senior team members and clients; effectively communicate findings, strategies, and deal progress.
Key Requirements:
- Education: MBA (preferably from a premier institute) or CA or CFA with a good academic background. Ex-founders with fundraising or M&A experience will be a huge plus.
- Experience: Must have 2-5 years of experience in front end investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or consulting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis. Strong command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Tracxn, Capital IQ).
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, assess market trends, and draw meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, client management, and relationship building skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and financial analysis.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Sector Experience: Knowledge of IT and ITeS industries is advantageous.
- Deal Exposure: Proven track record of supporting and managing deals from pitch to closing.
