- Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth and improving SERP rankings for large-scale websites.
- Experience working with US-based clients and a solid understanding of international SEO, including hreflang tags, country-specific domains, and localization strategies.
2. Technical SEO Skills:
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as:
- Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and BrightEdge.
- Strong understanding of:
- Crawlability, Indexability, and Site Architecture.
- Core Web Vitals and page speed optimization techniques.
- Structured data (schema markup) and how to implement it.
- Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Magento.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive technical audits and resolve indexing, crawlability, and other technical SEO issues.
3. Content SEO Skills:
- Expertise in keyword research, topic clustering, and creating SEO-optimized content strategies.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and basic understanding of content writing and copywriting principles.
- Ability to collaborate with content writers to develop SEO-friendly content and optimize existing content.
- Knowledge of E-A-T (Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) and content guidelines per Googles quality standards.
4. Analytics and Reporting:
- Proficiency in data analytics and reporting using:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Data Studio, and other BI tools.
- Ability to create custom reports and dashboards to track SEO performance and ROI.
- Strong skills in analyzing traffic trends, user behavior, and making data-driven decisions.
5. Strategy and Planning:
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals for both in-house and client projects.
- Experience with local SEO strategies (GMB optimization, citations, local link building).
- Strong understanding of mobile SEO and optimization techniques for mobile-first indexing.
- Knowledge of link-building strategies and experience in managing outreach campaigns.
- Understanding of paid search (PPC) to collaborate effectively with PPC teams.
6. Leadership and Communication Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and mentor an SEO team of analysts, specialists, and content writers.
- Strong project management skills and experience with tools like Jira.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present strategies, results, and insights to clients and senior management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other marketing teams (PPC, social media, content) to ensure a unified approach.
7. Compliance and Security Knowledge:
- Understanding of GDPR and other privacy regulations affecting SEO and analytics tracking.
- Awareness of SEO security practices to prevent negative SEO and penalties.
8. Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
- Google Analytics Certified.
- Google Ads Certification.
- Certification in tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
- SEO certifications from recognized platforms (Coursera, HubSpot, or Yoast).
