Skills and Responsibilities:
People Systems Manager (Lead) will partner with the Transformation and Technology (TT) team to help support the execution of agreed improvement programmes for Kent. They will also manage the ongoing improvement of our BAU Oracle Service design leading the Global People and Culture ERP Sub-committee (Global PC team members). Their role is to help provide meaningful data driven insights that improve our HCM solutions, leveraging PC team input to drive the continuous improvement cycle. With a keen eye for lean process methodology, the role will bring critical challenge to improvement opportunities, supporting effective change management of agreed annual improvement plans. Working with our TT team this role will manage people and service reporting, providing meaningful management information on employee metrics, PC service volume and service quality, ensuring the value proposition from accurate data stewardship and service metrics. Managing a People Systems team based both in the UAE and India but collaborating across the Globe with PC delivery teams, the role is responsible for improving the capability of HCM end users and managing ongoing continuous improvement opportunities. The role is also responsible for developing and managing agreed data security and accuracy with the TT team, delivering and managing effective controls to manage employee data at an enterprise level in line with GDPR. The role will work collaboratively with People and Culture COE to Identify, assess, and coordinate agreed technology opportunities to reduce waste and manual processes, driving continuous process improvement and adding value across Talent Acquisition, Rewards, Helpdesk, Talent Management and self-service adoption. They will help drive Kent s PC team towards a great employee experience with simple, easy to use technology and process that makes People and Culture easy to do business with. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with PC leadership to understand the organisations strategic goals and ensure that agreed improvement plans align the capability of people systems accordingly.
  • Support the development and execution of implementation plans that come from our overall Kent ERP technology strategy to support PC initiatives, overall business objectives and aligned to the product (Oracle HCM) innovation roadmap.
  • Keep up to date with AI and technology trends in PC (including Oracle HCM), providing insights to Kent that inform future opportunities for improvement in the organisation.
  • Drive efficiency and standardization of data definitions, working with Finance to deliver meaningful MI and reporting through the team, supporting any group initiatives around enterprise level reporting.
  • Look to support the evolution of HCM with the implementation of Oracle Journey s, Guided Learning etc. to drive the self-service opportunities at Kent.
  • Provides challenge and expertise as we move through the design and deployment of automation solutions for PC, including ongoing continuous improvement of Oracle HCM
  • Works with PC Leadership teams and Regional Leads to ensure that the benefits and impact of any technology solution are understood and supports the change management assessment on existing PC service delivery.
  • Following project execution, takes ownership for ongoing training delivery for Oracle end users.
  • Establishes a structured approach to engagement and support for a Global network of Oracle PC super-users.
  • Acts as the PC go to person for PC systems related work - both from TT team and our business unit PC teams (responsible for spearheading further technology improvements and system defect resolutions).
  • Partners with TT HCM experts to ensure that the overall architecture of our People systems is efficient and provides accurate and compliant People data for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Works collaboratively with the PC COE team on the People systems CRs (change requests) and ensures these are reviewed and analysed by the appropriate COE ensuring full visibility and accountability.
  • Partners with IT
  • Partners with TT and works in collaboration to assess opportunity and risks, making recommendations where necessary to PC function and IT change board.
  • Develops and delivers effective reporting from Oracle self-service and agreed Power BI tools, delivery meaningful people data.
Conducts routine audits of HCM data to ensure ongoing accuracy and highlights improvement areas. Ensure optimal integration of Company s people systems to optimize reporting across all PC systems Ensure compliance with all data storage, privacy and security requirements as per Kent Group. Manages system roles and access, ensuring security, and data integrity across all PC platforms. Supports any group wide initiative on integrated business reporting and data alignment Manages the relationship between PC and TT departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support the translation of PC requirements into technical specifications for TT teams and vice versa, ensuring a mutual understanding of objectives and constraints.
  • Collaborate with our broader PC, Finance, and IT Teams and oversee the effective implementation of new initiatives through technology and streamlined HR operations.
  • Compliance, Governance and Security:
  • Support the TT function to manage and enforce data governance policies to maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and compliance of people-related data.
  • Liaise with TT security teams to address potential vulnerabilities and ensure robust data protection measures. Overseas training programs for PC professionals and end-users to maximize the utilisation of people systems. Work closely with TT team to drive adoption and user satisfaction in using Oracle Fusion HCM Lead ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users, collaborating with TT support teams as needed. Collaborate with external vendors to manage and optimize third-party relationships related to PC Systems Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Bachelor s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field. Core Competencies:
  • Experience of operating in a team that has set up or improved HR Shared Services, understands the relationships required with the business to deliver an effective BPO environment.
  • Demonstrable HR Technology and Operations experience including HR Systems and framework management. Experience of involvement in successful large-scale ERP implementations and the provision of effective business analysis Strong understanding of ERP best practices, PC and Recruitment business processes, and industry best practice and standards. Good experience in Oracle Fusion HCM modules (Core HR, Self Service, Talent Modules, Recruit, OTL, Compensation, Payroll, Reports and Integrations). In-depth PC process knowledge and subject matter expertise of shared services and business process improvement. Great leadership skills, with a focus on communication, team development and collaboration. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple storytelling for leadership and end-users. Experience in supporting steering committees, process workshops, project management, and strategic planning. Excellent analytical skills with a track record of utilizing data and data-driven insights to inform decision-making. Strong communication skills with an excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication. Believes that utilising the standard out of the box (in packaged ERP systems) tools and processes drives the sustainable result. Desired Competencies:
  • Experience in delivering HR system transformation. The PC function will be implementing new HR Oracle modules so a candidate with experience in deploying HRIS (Oracle Fusion) is preferrable.
  • Six Sigma, or Lean Process Methodology experience is desirable Experience in facilitating the evolution of a PC Operations team towards enhanced self-service capabilities and knowledge management, while streamlining processes. Demonstrating this knowledge in an engineering and construction environment is preferred.
