About the Role :

- We are seeking a highly skilled DBT Engineer to take charge of migrating ETL pipelines from SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to DBT (Data Build Tool) and developing new DBT pipelines.

- The candidate will have strong experience in building data pipelines, working with SQL Server, and leveraging DBT for data transformation.

- This role requires deep knowledge of modern data platforms and the ability to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to modern architectures.

What you will do :

- Analyze existing SSIS packages, and design equivalent DBT models, ensuring improvements in scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Implement and validate DBT-based transformations, maintaining high data accuracy and reliability through the migration process.

- Design, build, and maintain new data transformation pipelines using DBT to meet evolving business requirements.

- Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to gather data requirements and design end-to-end solutions that integrate smoothly with the overall data architecture.

- Write optimized and scalable SQL queries within DBT for data transformations, and ensure that the data models are built according to industry best practices.

- Optimize SQL queries and DBT models for performance and scalability, addressing any bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security throughout the migration and pipeline development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Expert-level proficiency in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modelling

- Strong SQL skills, with proven experience in building, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries in SQL Server environments.

- Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and knowledge of migrating ETL processes to DBT.

- Familiarity with version control (e.g , Git) and continuous integration practices for managing DBT projects.
