Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and ensuring that all client engagements comply with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
Tax Research and Advisory:
- Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to provide sound tax planning and advisory services to clients.
- Identify and implement tax-saving strategies and opportunities.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Review and analyze financial statements and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness for tax reporting.
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate tax reports.
Client Relations:
- Maintain effective communication with clients to understand their tax-related needs and address inquiries.
- Deliver exceptional client service, ensuring client satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with tax team members, contributing to the overall success of tax engagements.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff as needed.
Regulatory Compliance and Representation:
- Ensure all tax work papers and documentation meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Represent clients before tax authorities and manage inquiries and audits.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification. A degree in Law with tax expertise is also preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
