Plant Head / GM Plant / Operations Head

Role & responsibilities

• Develop long-term and short-term strategies for production, resource management, and operational efficiency.
• Set performance standards and ensure the team meets or exceeds targets in production, quality, and safety.
• Oversee and schedule production runs to meet customer demands and deadlines. Optimize resource allocation.
• Identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure high-quality output.
• Ensure a steady supply of raw materials and parts, while also monitoring stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure the manufactured blowers meet customer requirements and industry standards by overseeing quality control and testing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions to resolve them promptly.
• Oversee the budgeting process and manage operational costs, striving to meet financial targets.
• Implement processes that reduce material wastage, energy consumption, and downtime.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of raw materials and components without compromising quality.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery are regularly maintained to prevent breakdowns and delays.
• Oversee the upkeep of the plant infrastructure, ensuring it is safe, efficient, and up to date with industry standards.
• Keep track of technological advancements and implement new equipment or machinery as needed to improve manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Ensure compliance with local and international manufacturing regulations, including environmental standards.
• Manage and investigate any accidents or safety issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Act as the point of contact for major customers regarding product specifications, timelines, and any issues or concerns related to manufacturing.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers and negotiate contracts for raw materials and components.
• Regularly report to senior management on production metrics, efficiency, costs, and quality.
• Maintain detailed records of production, inventory, quality checks, and maintenance schedules.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: Strong background in manufacturing processes, especially in mechanical engineering and blower systems.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
• Budgeting and Cost Management: Ability to manage operational budgets and control costs.
• Safety Management: Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
