Stream Teacher

We are seeking a dynamic and creative STREAM Teacher for our primary grades (Grade 1 to Grade 4). The teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines elements of Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in a fun, engaging, and hands-on way. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners to explore and discover these subjects through inquiry-based learning, projects, and real-world applications, fostering a passion for innovation and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development & Lesson Planning:
  
• Develop and implement engaging STREAM lessons that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics concepts.
• Design interactive, hands-on activities and projects that encourage students to apply their learning in real-world contexts.
• Plan lessons that accommodate various learning styles and meet the developmental needs of students in Grades 1 to 4.
• Prepare and maintain a variety of learning materials, including lesson plans, handouts, and interactive digital content.

• Teaching & Instruction:
  
• Teach students the basics of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through a holistic, interdisciplinary approach.
• Introduce age-appropriate concepts in areas such as coding, robotics, engineering design, environmental science, and artistic expression.
• Engage students in collaborative problem-solving and encourage teamwork through group projects and hands-on experiments.
• Foster creativity in students by connecting artistic expression with engineering, technology, and mathematics.

• Classroom Management:
  
• Maintain a positive, safe, and nurturing classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore and experiment.
• Promote student curiosity, inquiry, and independent thinking while fostering a love for learning.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing personalized support where necessary to ensure all students succeed.

• Assessment & Evaluation:
  
• Regularly assess student progress through formative assessments, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Use both individual and group assessments to evaluate student understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents about student progress

• Hands-on Projects & Experiments:
  
• Facilitate interactive STREAM projects, such as building simple machines, creating art-based designs, conducting science experiments, and exploring basic robotics.
• Organize field trips, workshops, and other learning experiences that extend classroom learning into real-world environments.

• Professional Development:
  
• Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in STREAM education, including new technologies and innovative teaching methods.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices and expand knowledge of STREAM subjects.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to improve interdisciplinary teaching practices and promote school-wide STREAM initiatives.

• Parental and School Collaboration:
  
• Communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed about their childs progress in the STREAM curriculum.
• Participate in school events, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings related to STREAM education.
• Support school-wide initiatives that promote a culture of innovation and creativity.

Qualifications:

• Educational Qualifications:
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) with a focus on Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• A degree in any of the STREAM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) is an advantage.
• A certification or training in teaching STEM/STREAM subjects is preferred.

• Experience:
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching primary school students, preferably in a STREAM-focused role.
• Experience in using project-based learning (PBL) and inquiry-based approaches to teach STEM or STREAM subjects.
• Familiarity with integrating technology, including robotics, coding tools, and educational apps, into the curriculum is a plus.

• Skills:
  
• Strong understanding of child development, particularly for students in Grades 1 to 4.
• Ability to engage and inspire students using hands-on, inquiry-based, and interdisciplinary teaching methods.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using educational technology, including coding platforms, interactive learning tools, and multimedia content.
• Ability to create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that fosters creativity and problem-solving skills.
