Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Pithampur

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in production management, with experience in Structure Fabrication and PEB Fabrication being an added advantage.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a result-oriented and dynamic Production Manager to lead our production operations and oversee the end-to-end operations of our manufacturing at Pithampur. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of managing production processes, nurturing teams, managing material, quality assurance and achieving production targets. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing efficient production plans, coordinating with the quality to enhance process quality, and ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products, collaborate with internal & external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Lead and nurture a team of Production Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Identify team development needs and implement training programs to enhance their skills and productivity.

Production Planning & Execution:

• Develop and execute detailed production plans to meet organizational goals and client requirements.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization to achieve production targets.

Process Development & Optimization:

• Design and implement efficient production processes to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with the Quality Team to integrate quality checkpoints into the production process.

Meeting Targets:

• Ensure that production targets are consistently met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Monitor production performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Coordination:

• Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to improve process quality and address any quality-related issues.
• Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce defects and improve efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production schedules, targets, and performance metrics.
• Prepare and present regular production reports to management.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards in all production activities.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production team.

Material & Vendor Management:

• Oversee material management, ensuring timely procurement and inventory control to support production needs.
• Identify, develop, and manage relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers.

Quality Management & Process Optimization:

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, including implementation of ISO and other relevant certifications.
• Analyze and improve plant processes to minimize waste, defects, and downtime using Lean Manufacturing principles.

Plant Layout & Product Design:

• Optimize plant layout for smooth workflow and efficiency.
• Coordinate with R&D teams on product design and development, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Nurture and lead a team of professionals across production, quality, and support functions.
• Develop training programs to enhance skills and align teams with organizational goals.

Budget Planning & Cost Control:

• Prepare and manage the plants operational and capital budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or productivity.

Client Coordination:

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
• Address client requirements and resolve issues related to production, quality, or timelines.

Overall Plant Operations:

• Take full accountability for all plant activities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Continuously monitor performance metrics and drive improvements across all functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in plant operations, production planning, and process optimization.
• Expertise in ISO certifications, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Tools, and CAPA.
• Strong knowledge of product design and development.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to nurture and motivate employees.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for internal and external client management.
• Experience in vendor development and managing contract manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in budget planning and cost control.

Educational Requirements:

• Master/Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Quality Management Systems are a plus.
