Role Overview :
The Product Manager will be responsible for defining, building, and managing product features that promote diversity and inclusivity in the hiring process. This role involves end-to-end product ownership, from ideation to launch, with a focus on creating a seamless, effective, and equitable experience for users. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in diversity hiring, along with experience in product management, UX/UI, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Product Strategy & Roadmap :
- Develop and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the diversity and inclusion platform.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, user needs, and competitive landscape in the diversity hiring space.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and set clear, achievable goals aligned with business objectives.
Feature Development & User Experience :
- Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new features that support diversity and inclusion in hiring.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure the platform is intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly.
- Conduct regular usability testing and gather user feedback to continuously improve the product.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure smooth product development and launch.
- Collaborate with the customer success team to understand user challenges and implement solutions that enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
- Engage with employers, job seekers, and diversity advocates to understand their needs and gather insights for future improvements.
Data-Driven Decision Making :
- Analyse product usage, performance metrics, and feedback to make informed decisions about feature prioritisation and iterations.
- Identify KPIs and track the success of new features, making adjustments as necessary to meet objectives.
- Leverage data analytics to uncover insights, track trends, and identify areas for enhancement within the platform.
Advocacy & Industry Expertise :
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
- Serve as a subject matter expert on diversity hiring, providing insights to the team and ensuring the platform aligns with DEI goals.
- Advocate for the platform at industry events, conferences, and workshops, enhancing visibility and credibility.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, Human Resources, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in product management, ideally within HR technology, recruitment, or diversity and inclusion domains.
- Proven track record of developing and launching successful products from concept to execution.
- Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and best practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and product management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello).
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices in accessibility and inclusivity.
- Experience working with SaaS platforms, recruitment tools, or HRMS systems.
- Passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace and promoting diversity in hiring.
