Investment Associate
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Analysis:
- Prepare detailed financial models including cash flow projections, financial statements, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements, business models, and perform company and transaction valuations.
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of investment opportunities.
Investment Documentation & Presentations:
- Draft and present key investment documents such as Investment Memos, Term Sheets, Pitchbooks, and Teasers.
- Create industry-specific materials to support investment opportunities and decision-making.
Due Diligence & Evaluation:
- Assist senior team members in the due diligence process, including gathering necessary information, performing background checks, and analyzing risk factors.
- Evaluate potential risks and rewards associated with investment opportunities.
Support Fundraising & Deal Structuring:
- Provide support for fundraising activities and assist in structuring deals.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure deal closing principals are met efficiently.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor and track the performance of portfolio assets.
- Obtain periodic credit ratings for portfolio assets and ensure they align with the investment strategy.
- Prepare internal Management Information Systems (MIS) reports for assets on a monthly basis.
Liaison with Financial Institutions & Stakeholders:
- Liaise with financial institutions, banks, consultants, and rating agencies to facilitate investments.
- Cultivate relationships with external parties to ensure smooth execution of investment processes.
Qualifications:
Education:
- CA (Chartered Accountant) or MBA in Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field post-qualification.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, capital structures, debt instruments, and ratio analysis.
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to engage with senior professionals and stakeholders.
- Strong logical and analytical skills with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
