JOB TITLE - EXPORT OFFICER

DEPARTMENT- EXPORTS

NOTICE PERIOD- 0-15 DAYS

SALARY - UP TO 30K PER MONTH

EXPERIENCE - 2 to 5 Years

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Documentation and Compliance

• Prepare and manage all export-related documents, including invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions, and bills of lading.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate with clearing agents for smooth shipment handling.

2. Logistics Management :

• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and other logistics partners to arrange timely and cost-effective shipments.
• Monitor shipment schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

3. Customer Relationship Management

• Act as a point of contact for International clients and distributors, addressing their inquiries and resolving concerns.
• Provide regular updates on order and shipment status.

4. Market Research & Strategy :

• Identify new market opportunities and trends in international trade.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to explore potential export markets.

5. Financial Coordination :

• Coordinate with the finance team regarding payments, letters of credit(LCs), and other export-related financial matters.
• Verify Payment terms and follow up on receivables.

6. Performance Reporting :

• Maintain shipments, expenses, and sales records to prepare regular reports for management review.
• Evaluate and improve export processes to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills required :

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in export operations or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of export documentation, customs regulations, and International trade laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Knowledge of INCOTERMS and international shipping practices.
• Familiarity with export incentives and schemes ( e.g. Duty Drawback, RoDTEP ).
• Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
