Junior Engineer (CAD Specialist)

Job Summary:

As a Junior Civil Engineer specializing in CAD, you will assist in the design and drafting of Infrastructure projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to create detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• CAD Drafting and Design: Produce detailed and accurate CAD drawings for civil engineering projects including Project sheets, grading plans, and layouts.
• Project Support: Assist senior engineers in developing project sheets, GAD and reports.
• Data Management: Maintain and organize CAD files and project documentation, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
• Technical Analysis: Perform preliminary calculations and analyses to support design work.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including engineers and surveyors, to ensure project requirements are met.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Review and check drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices, CAD software advancements, and civil engineering techniques.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma / Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in civil engineering or related field, with a focus on CAD drafting.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
• Basic knowledge of civil engineering codes and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Certifications: CAD-related certifications or coursework is a plus.
• Work Environment: Ability to work in an office setting with occasional site visits.
