Sr. Group Leader - Chemical Research

1. New Product Development:
   • Lead the development of new products from concept to commercialization.
   • Design and execute experiments to evaluate the feasibility and scalability of new products.
   • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to align R&D efforts with market needs and customer requirements.

1. People Management, Lab Responsibilities, and Safety:
   • Supervise and mentor a team of scientists and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
   • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment in the lab.
   • Oversee lab operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and procurement of supplies.
2. Scale-up, Commissioning, Plant Support/Business Support:
   • Lead scale-up activities for new products, ensuring smooth transition from lab to pilot plant and full-scale production.
   • Support plant commissioning and troubleshooting to ensure successful startup and operation.
   • Provide technical support to manufacturing and business teams to address production challenges and optimize processes

• Data Entry and Document Preparation:
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry for all R&D activities.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including experimental protocols, reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or masters degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in R&D within the fine chemicals industry.
• Proven track record of successful product development and process improvement.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in data management and documentation practices.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a lab environment.
• Experience with scale-up and plant commissioning is highly desirable.
