General Manager Audits & GL

Purpose of the Job:

To oversee and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance in adherence to Ind AS, manage end-to-end accounting operations, audits, and internal controls, while driving process improvements, supporting investor relations, and providing strategic financial insights to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and submit periodic results per Ind AS.
• Oversee all technical accounting and GL activities, ensuring accuracy in monthly close processes, including reconciliation of balance sheets, cash flow, and P&L accounts, along with maintaining necessary backups.
• Manage statutory, internal, and external departmental audits, as well as due diligence activities.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to internal control frameworks across the organization.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in sub-function areas, including revenue and COGS accounting, accounts receivable, payables, fixed assets, and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, such as the Companies Act and MCA.
• Prepare and present investor reports and support lender communications.
• Develop and implement financial processes and SOPs.
• Conduct variance analysis of periodic accounts with AOP and budgets, identifying deviations and providing explanations and recommendations.
• Exhibit strong business partnering and project management skills.
• Lead automation and process simplification initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant with minimum 6 years of experience (preference to first or Second attempt preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years experience or article ship from BIG 4 firm.
• Strong knowledge of SAP.
• Experience in a similar role within a mid to large sized corporation.
