Senior Executive / Asst. Manager - Billing (Night Auditor)

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct bedside audits in the ICU, Wards, and Emergency departments to verify that billing in the Hospital Information System (HIS) accurately reflects services provided by nursing staff.
• - Identify and control errors in activity sheets and HIS to ensure compliance with billing standards.
• - Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to resolve discrepancies and improve billing accuracy.
• - Generate and present weekly reports on audit findings and billing accuracy to the management team.
• - Assist in training nursing staff on proper documentation and billing practices to minimize errors.
• - Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices in healthcare billing and auditing.
• To effectively interface with patients/ attendants, employees, vendors and doctors and provide timely services with accuracy.
• Daily bills updation.
• Refund generation as per the policy of the Company.
• Maintain adequate records of IP/OP billing department including Patient bills, refunds & discount vouchers.
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices.
• To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
• To Comply with patient safety policy.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in IP Billing with a NABH/JCI Accredited hospital.
